What about rodents - ground squirrels, moles, voles, rats, mice?

Having owned guineas for decades, I couldn't agree more. But we got them to deal with ticks. Lots of ticks and lyme disease in our area. Nothing works better at controlling them. There are other benefits but insect control for sure.

ok ... question....if a guinea eats lyme-diseased ticks, doesn't that mean the guinea would get infected with lyme as well? What am I missing here as far as transmission?

I’m within city limits but heard I can legally have chickens and goats. I heard Guineas are Very Loud. Will I be likely to get complaints from next door neighbors?

Yes Guineas CAN be loud, but once they learn the surrounding the only ALARAM when strangers and wild animals are around. They are the very best yard alarms.
