Yes. Words really do matter! Not least when you converse with a machine.😐

This was my first experience reading Chat GPT and I’m blown away. This is intriguing and scary at the same time. If the top minds in AI request we take a pause then you know this is incredible dangerous to humanity. BUCKLE IN!

I have personally faced ID challenges more than once despite being born in New York City and well educated. I was not named right after birth, so my original birth certificate is blank on the front for first and middle names and has my given name written in neat blue ink on the back (in small letters, not the corporate all caps). I have used that ID all my life, but the most recent time I went to get a driver's license, it was not accepted by the clerk. I was horrified, but I had brought a copy with me that I had sent to me by the city of New York when I lost the original for a time. The copy had my given name on the front in all caps with the rest of the data. That copy was accepted and I had my license.

A hundred fifty years ago, birth records were just starting to exist and nobody had photos. A hundred years ago, photo IDs were possible, but I doubt they were common. Fifty years ago, I was a young adult and photo IDs were everywhere. Standards have risen.

But sometimes, certain losses still make a challenge. WV allows a local friend to vouch for you that s/he knows you at voting places.
