WOW, Holidays and Black Friday Almost Here!
You Asked Us To Bring This Back and NOW WE HAVE!
Can you believe that the holiday season is already upon us? This year has flown by!
This holiday season I have promised myself to master making fresh bread and in specific Focaccia Pugliese. I know that’s not a holiday bread or anything, but I have a drive to master it none the less (I had one early failure, but I think I know what I did wrong).
Also, from some strange reason I have an urge to totally reimagine what a Thanksgiving Dinner is and maybe create a new tradition which is unique to my immediate family, but I am still noodling that concept.
One thing for sure is THERE IS ALWAYS TONS OF LEFT-OVER FOODS!
Studies states Americans will throw away around 316 million pounds of food on Thanksgiving Day. That’s about 10 pounds per family gathering by some estimates! For a “traditional” family (say 6–10 people) you might expect somewhere in the ballpark of 3 to 8 kg (≈7–18 lbs.) of leftovers (edible food remaining after the main meal).
That’s a lot of leftovers and much of it gets tossed. This no longer happens in my household. Turn your leftover waste into your future survival food supply!
I see leftovers as SURVIVUAL FOOD - OR LONG-TERM FOOD SUPPLY!
Using a freeze dryer is one of the smartest ways to turn your Thanksgiving leftovers or any extra food into long-term emergency supplies. It works by removing moisture from fully cooked meals while keeping the flavor, nutrients, and texture intact. Once sealed in Mylar bags with oxygen absorbers, freeze-dried food can last 20 years or more. You can freeze-dry turkey, mashed potatoes, even pie, and rehydrate them later with hot water. It’s an easy way to build a shelf-stable pantry from real meals you already enjoy, turning today’s leftovers into tomorrow’s security and peace of mind.
YOU ASKED US TO BRING IT BACK SO WE DID!
WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW!
Buying a freeze dryer isn’t just about prepping, t’s about freedom, savings, and opportunity. When you buy prepackaged long-term food, you’re paying for someone else’s labor, packaging, and markup. A single-family freeze dryer, on the other hand, lets you preserve your own fresh, healthy food for pennies on the dollar. Imagine turning leftovers, garden harvests, or bulk grocery buys into shelf-stable meals that last 20 years or more. The savings add up fast since what costs thousands in commercial emergency kits can be done at home for a fraction of the price.
But it’s not only about saving money it’s also about creating value. Many small entrepreneurs have built thriving side businesses selling freeze-dried fruits, candies, meals, and even pet treats. The growing demand for lightweight, healthy, long-lasting food makes this a niche with real profit potential.
In uncertain times, when supply chains break down and grocery prices spike, having your own freeze dryer means you’re never at the mercy of the market. You control your food future. You can feed your family from your own pantry, trade or sell what you’ve made, and rest easy knowing you’ve turned today’s abundance into tomorrow’s security. It’s an investment that pays in resilience.
Here is a simple Thanksgiving Prayer for you and feel free to use it!
Heavenly Father, we thank You for this day of blessings and for the food before us. Thank You for family, friends, and the love that fills this home. We are grateful for the hands that prepared this meal and for the many gifts You’ve given us throughout the year. In times of joy and challenge alike, may we remember Your goodness and share it with others. Bless this food to our bodies, and our lives to Your service. With grateful hearts, we say—Amen.
